Helping Hands
Lending a hand should you fall on hard times.
Milton S. Hershey shared a story about a $100 gift from his aunt making a difference when he fell into a dangerous situation on a trip to Denver. That experience was so impactful that the Deed of Trust reads, “And when they leave us at 18 we will give them $100 each to begin life.”
As our alumni progress through life, they can fall on hard times. MHS cannot provide financial assistance. The Dearden Foundation is able to provide support, but only for individuals up to the age of 26. The Cancer Care Fund is available to help those who are battling cancer. What about the rest of us?
MHSAA is proud to have revived the Helping Hands Program. This program provides emergency support to alumni in need. If you are a member of MHSAA and have fallen on hard times, do not hesitate to reach out. We are here to provide a helping hand.

MHSAA is proud to have revived the Helping Hands Program. This program will provide emergency support for items such as lodging (short term housing or deposits), groceries, transportation (car repairs or payments), insurance premiums, child care, or medical needs.
Note: MHSAA will not send payments to the requester. Payment will be issued directly to the service provider. In cases where physical goods are needed, for instance baby food or diapers, we will purchase the items and send them directly to the requestor.
