Member Benefit Programs
Upon graduation, all seniors are inducted into the Alumni Association and their dues are waived for six years. This allows young alums the opportunity to learn about the organization and participate in our programs while making their way in the “real world”. After the waived dues period, annual membership is $30.
Rather than answer the question, “What do I get for my thirty dollars?” we like to offer, “What we do with your thirty dollars” MHSAA supports current students and young alumni through financial awards, our Senior Auto Insurance program, and hosting Alumni Fellowship Weekend. We also offer financial assistance through our Helping Hands and Cancer Care Program.
The most important thing that we offer is comradery and fellowship with those that truly understands your experience. We have a special bond, regardless of if we call ourselves Homeboys, Homegirls, Milts or Spartans.
The Alumni Association is committed to supporting students in their journey beyond MHS. MHSAA, the chapters, individual alumni and community members inspired by Milton and Catherine Hershey provide annual financial awards that are presented each spring.
MHSAA understands the emotional and financial toll that a cancer diagnosis can bring. The Cancer Care Program is one way that we can lift up our brothers and sisters while they endure the long battle ahead. We are Spartans. We are Spartan Strong.
As written in the Deed of Trust, every graduating senior is given $100 to ensure that they start their new journey with a hand up. The Helping Hands Program is an extension of that concept. Sometimes we trip and fall and all we need is a hand up.
Auto insurance is a necessity for anyone who operates a vehicle. It is also extremely costly for new drivers. MHSAA has invested in non-liability policy that allows us to provide proof of previous auto coverage for our seniors and new alumni.
